Special 05 is the fifth special chapter of the Natsume's Book of Friends manga series.
Summary[]
Natsume Takashi meets a young fox yokai who immediately becomes infatuated with him after he saves him from two middle-low bullies. After witnessing Natsume return the name of a tree spirit from the Book of Friends, he wants Natsume to make him his follower. Natsume declines, saying that all yokai deserve freedom and not servitude. The Fox Spirit later finds a watch and a "Stone God" spirit who tells him that he and Natsume live in very different worlds.
