One-Night's Sake Cup is a Original Video Animation of the Natsume Yuujinchou Go anime. It was released on the fourth Blu-ray/DVD compilation volume on March 22, 2017.
Summary[]
Natsume saves two married yokai who are famous for making the one-night sake cups that appear once every decade. Mistaking him for his exorcist grandmother Reiko, they take Natsume to a cave. After correcting the two, Natsume promises to return with Nyanko-Sensei, who is elated about getting to drink such rare sake. As the night comes to a close, the sake cups vanish as their makers are gradually nearing the end of their lives. Natsume promises to make them happy one final time.
Plot[]
While on an errand for Touko, Natsume gets lost and saves a husband and wife who mistake him for his maternal grandmother, as he was able to beat the youkai that was attacking them with one single spiritual-empowered punch. They reveal that they make the rare, renowned "One-Night Sake Cups" that is delectable and strengthens the drinker's own demonic and or spiritual power tenfold. Intrigued and reminded of himself, Takashi helps them with making the One-Night Sake Cups for travelling customers. Hidizuchi tells Natsume that his encounter with Reiko was the first time he had ever spoken to a human being, and that he had wanted the beautiful teenage exorcist to drink with him and his wife, but was interested when she had told him that humans could not drink until their were grownups.
Nyanko-Sensei informs Takashi that the couple is losing the ability to make such cups, as their time is almost up. Worried, Takashi goes to find them and again saves them from the same youkai who had attacked them before. They thank Reiko's grandson for his aid and friendship, and wait calmly as their fade away along with their final cup they made for themselves.
